How to design an AI creation course with a finished project

Work backward from learning goals to exercises and assessment, so tools support the creative outcome.

Define observable capabilities

Describe what learners should be able to do: express a goal, organize a storyboard, check continuity, or complete an edit. Avoid a syllabus made only of tool names.

Choose a bounded assignment

Limit story scope, assets, and production time. Define available materials and account capabilities, and leave room for review and revision.

Design stage deliverables

Connect briefs, scripts, character references, storyboards, and finished videos to distinct exercises and feedback. Process records help explain how the work was made.

Plan critique and reflection

Discuss the theme, narrative, audiovisual expression, technical work, and process. Include factual accuracy, material permissions, and appropriate disclosure of AI-generated content.

Responsibilities, schedule, budget, usage rights, and deliverables are defined in the project agreement. Examples illustrate related creative work; references to platforms, organizations, or projects do not imply their endorsement.
