The creative premise is simple: everything in Shanghai’s Yuyuan Garden comes alive. Architecture, plants, birds, fish, and layers of local history become expressive characters in a welcoming fantasy world.
A gentle, hand-painted animation style brings the garden’s cultural identity into a visual story. Rather than presenting the space as a sequence of landmarks, the film gives it personality and emotional warmth.
